Val d'Oca

Who we are

The Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene represents the history of a choral enterprise, a true social initiative born in 1952, thanks to the will of 129 founding members, farmers in post-war Italy, animated by the desire to rebuild the territory and the local economy, scarred by the devastating wounds of the Second World War. Those 129 founding members decided, together, to join forces to give life to the brilliant intuition that embodied then, as now, the strong spirit of cooperation that unites 600 winegrowing members today.

Today the Cantina has over 600 members who are required to confer their entire production spread over more than 1000 hectares of farmland. The fee for the grapes conferred varies according to the different quality/ provenance of the grapes, and by internal regulation the entire harvest of grapes destined for DOCG and DOC must be done by hand. Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene is also one of the founding members of the Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

Over time, the sharing of resources has enabled a constant effort to improve the quality of the grapes, further enhanced by a careful entrepreneurial mentality that has equipped the Cantina with state-of-the-art technology. The growing number of associates has enabled the Cantina, while remaining faithful to the high quality of the product and the strict requirements of the consumer, to produce an ever increasing number of bottles.
