History

The winery's origins date back to the late 1800s when Gregorio Canello's great-grandfather began cultivating vineyards in Guia di Valdobbiadene producing Prosecco primarily for direct consumption.

After World War II it was his father Cesare Canello who expanded the vineyards while remaining within a humble local economy still characterized by a mixture of vineyard and livestock farming.

Then in the 1970s it was Gregorio Canello who would decisively expand the winery, planting new Glera vines, modernizing existing cultivations and purchasing machinery such as the first " Vaslin " pressing machine to improve product quality.

In 2021, Gregorio together with his son Stefano and son-in-law Enrico, decided to continue the family's winemaking tradition by creating the new brand " CONTADIN STANCO " with the ambition of being able to introduce everyone to a small-sized but big-hearted reality.

The fruit of this renewal is the new Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut, which joins bottles of prosecco DOC, sparkling wine on yeasts "Col Fondo" and a cuvée of sparkling white wine "Tenada."
